First Look: Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro Dark Grey

Dubbed the Air Jordan 12 Dark Grey, this new colourway has the Jordan’s 12th signature dressed in an all Grey suede upper.

Premium suede travels from the midsole to the upper in that signature stitched contrast. A leather panel offers additional protection, acting as a mudguard in the same tonal shade as that grey suede. Flight technology promises the best in comfort and support underfoot. This robust midsole keeps each stride powered with weightless energy.  The Jordan 12 Dark Grey is finished off with gold coloured eye-lets and a set of grey rope laces.

Sporting a predominantly grey hue across what seems to be a nubuck-based upper and leather overlays along the forefoot, the monochromatic makeup is complemented with hints of navy blue and yellow gracing the rear, insoles and outsole unit.

First Look: Air Jordan 12 Low ‘Max Orange’

The 1996-1997 Air Jordan 12 arrived as number 23 was on his way to his fifth career title. Luxuriously crafted, the striking design would go on to release in low-cut fashion during its initial retro run in 2004. Now in 2017, the Air Jordan 12 legacy continues with a new ‘Max Orange’ take on the low-cut iteration.

Sporting a classic palette of black and anthracite dominating its suede and leather upper, the stealthy profile is pronounced with vibrant hits of orange, which are prominent on the miniature branded side panels, Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel pull tabs. A matching full-length rubber sole unit with carbon fiber detailing on the outsole finishes off its sleek and simple design.

First Look: Nike Air Jordan 12 ‘Retro Black Nylon’

Originally released in 1996, the Air Jordan 12 is well known for Jordan's ‘Flu Game’ performance and the Chicago Bulls' subsequent victory in the 1997 NBA Finals. Twenty years later, the silhouette that regularly uses a mixture of leather and reptile-like material on the upper gets updated with nylon.

The Air Jordan 12 ‘Retro Black Nylon’ takes inspiration from Michael Jordan’s classic sweat suits. The upper comes with a durable nylon construction, coupled with premium leather overlays, overall set in the tradition Air Jordan colour scheme. The sneaker also have waterproof features.

Sneakers Dropping This Weekend: Nike Air Jordan 12 ‘Gym Red’

The Jordan Brand has released quite a few dope sneakers this year, including the ‘French Blue’ and ‘The Master’. Continuing with the dope releases, the Jordan brand brings us an all-new ‘Gym Red’ colourway.

The sneaker features a vibrant red shade across its premium tumbled leather upper, tongue and laces. The forefoot and the entire rubber sole unit is covered in white. Contrasting accents of black located on the rear pull tabs, inner lining and out sole finish off the palette, while tonal metallic details are seen on the upper eyelets.

Introducing the Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘Flu Game’

The Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘Flu Game’ is one of the most exciting sneakers for the year. The sneaker was originally released in 1997, then again in 2003 and in 2009. The 2009 pair however didn’t meet the ‘OG’ standards as they were built with a nubuck upper that included detailing on the heel as a nod to the year and points Michael Jordan scored that day.

This year, the the ‘Flu Game’ finally returns as a remastered version for 2016 and will release just like they did when they were OGs. The shoe features a tumbled leather Black upper with basketball textured Varsity Red mudguard and outsole.

PS: During the 1997 NBA Finals, the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz were battling it out for the Championship. During Game 5, Michael Jordan experienced flu-like symptoms that worried many if he was able to play. Despite feeling ill, he performed at his best putting down 38 points that game wearing the AJ 12 in the red and black colourway.
