Together with PUMA, Big Sean designed a curated collection that focuses on versatility, wearability and functionality, pairing it with colours inspired by Fall in the Midwest. But he didn’t stop there. Instilling his fine taste and fashion sense, he chose to use premium luxe materials to elevate these everyday essentials. The result is a collection that’s perfect for lounging and traveling, yet distinctly stylish for evenings out.

PUMA classics are given a progressive, street-ready redesign with mixed premium materials and detailing and a colour palette from pale khakis, dark olives, burnt ochres and birch. Signature dedicated “D” branding is seen throughout the collection.

The latest PUMA x Big Sean collection features PUMA’s heritage sportswear styles that have been updated with a rich colour story and tactile materials. Apparel pieces are created with mixed fabrics and tonal colour combinations, giving the collection a more premium layered feel. Pieces feature taping details and Big Sean ‘D+CAT’ logo.

Court silhouette the new Breaker comes in a neutral urban colour, with tonal signature branding details, rear taping and Big Sean’s signature green outsole.

Hot New Sneaker Styles for Big Sean x PUMA Collab as Drop 2 Hit Stores

Big Sean and PUMA are following up their debut collaborative collection with a second drop which is available at selected retailers.

Featuring the recurring theme of classic luxury, streetwear staples and familiar PUMA silhouettes come in reimagined iterations in true Sean’s style. This time though, the colour palette shifts to contrasting bursts of citrus and black. The Suede and Suede Mid come alive in Melon and Jelly Bean colourways while the Clyde goes stealth with an all-black makeover in slick premium leather sans the Formstrip.

The dope sneakers are available at PUMA SELECT stores (Braamfontein in Jozi and Bree Street in Cape Town) and selected retailers.

Big Sean Celebrates 50 Years of Suede With PUMA

From the streets of Detroit to number one on the charts, Sean Anderson a.k.a Big Sean has built his career on hustle. He takes inspiration from the simple fact that life is what you decide you want it to be; your decisions, good or bad, define your legacy. He’s embodied this throughout his evolution from local Detroit rapper to international star– he’s worked hard to get here, and he never forgets his beginnings.

Releasing this month is a capsule pack that Sean designed to commemorate the Suede’s 50^th anniversary. That OG PUMA ‘D’ branding reminiscent of its founder Rudolf Dassler’s logo, premium taping and mix of velour and knits are some of the key features that set the tone for what you can expect from his full collection. The Big Sean Suede 50 pack features the Suede x Big Sean reimagined mid-cut iteration with a chunkier midsole, prominent PUMA ‘D’ branding on the tongue and iconic Big Sean signature in the outer lateral. Big Sean redefines the Suede with an extra-clean formstripe, a knitted sock construction and a customised lacing system originally inspired by hiking laces. Sean’s characteristic green, white and blue colourway finishes off the clean iteration and appears on the heel loops, sole and foot bed. Sean breathes new life into the classic T7 Track Jacket by giving it his hometown remix. The PUMA x Big Sean T7 Top and Pants are street meets luxe with a mix of soft satin, velour, doubleknit and premium taping. A dedicated taping that accentuates the collar, cuffs and waist comes in the same striking green, white and blue combination. Tone on tone branding finishes the clean silhouettes.

This season, PUMA gives new life to perennial styles with their latest Classics collection. Get major throwback feelings with the return of iconic hits such as the Suede (R1 699) and T7 Track Jacket (R1 299) in contemporary iterations and new colorways.

Tommie Smith, Walt “Clyde” Frazier - legends of sports that propelled these styles to their Hall of Fame status today. More than forty years later, they continue to rock the streets and are staples in every sneakerhead’s closet and wardrobe rotation. With the Suede celebrating its golden year in 2018, the Classics are looking fresher than ever.

Rounding up the Classics range is a capsule pack inspired by the flashy fashions of seventies DJ’s and B-boys in the Bronx.  The SUPERPUMA pack harks back to the beginnings of Hiphop and Funk with detailing that’s reminiscent of that era. Tapes and piping on the hem, pop-artsy branding, and luxe materials give off retro vibes. The SUPERPUMA Suede (R1 699) comes in all its OG glory in Red and Black hues with the SUPERPUMA Cat branding on the tongue and insoles.
