This past weekend, Rihanna and PUMA threw the hottest bash of the season to celebrate the FENTY x PUMA by Rihanna collection. Held at a private estate in the Coachella Valley, the VIP only gig had the collection’s beach chic meets motorsport theme in full swing with guests revelling in slides, lounging in cabanas and going hard on the dirt bike trail. Rihanna who was in her usual element wearing head-to-toe FENTYxPUMA, chilled with guests and grooved along to the tunes of some of today’s hottest DJ’s.

Two worlds collide with the introduction of two main apparel drops under two distinctive creative directions: beach chic and motorsport. True to the FENTY PUMA by RIHANNA DNA, Rihanna continues to play with gender-fluid silhouettes and oversized shapes paired with sexy body-con styles. Perennial collection favourites are reimagined in new seasonal appropriate fabrics and colours. The classic Track Suit is updated with a surf-inspired twist with neon bungee cords and super lightweight rubber coated leather. The iconic lacing leggings were refashioned with bungee cords and cut outs up to there in pop colors like Cherry Tomato.
The neon hits, wet-looked gel prints, wetsuit pullers and rubber patch details throughout the collection are a nod to throwback surf and extreme watersport culture.
Paying homage to PUMA’s history in motorsport, Rihanna transformed classic performance racing gear into runway-ready looks decked in tech materials such as lightweight leathers, nylon and air tech mesh. Technical race suits and driving pants rendered with checker flag graphics, sporty decals and motorsport gear go from forever faster to forever fashion.
The Creeper gets a makeover with neoprene materials, gravity-defying translucent stacked soles and bungee cord laces. Accessories such as Chokers, Giant Strap Cap and the unique Scuba Duffle round off the first FENTY drops.

PUMA, and FENTY Creative Director, Rihanna, officially ushers in the third season of FENTY x PUMA by Rihanna by opening up the doors of FENTY University, where varsity sport gets a high fashion makeover and everyone can mix and match the variety of looks.
Rihanna designed the collection to represent different youth cultural cliques and their unique styles that set them apart in hallways and locker rooms – Nerds, Jocks, Skaters, Preppies, Goth kids and of course, Bad Gals. Spring-Summer Collection comes full bloom as the wider range begins to drop in-stores.
Apropos for the season, the collection is a delectable mash-up of 18th Century
French Rococo and Neo Classical flair with athletic street styling.
The
latest poolside crush alongside the Fur and Bow Slides, the all-new Jelly Slide
features a PUMA logo on a textured, all-over jelly strap and a whimsical
diamond pattern outsole.
The
slides will be available in black, white and prism pink for R1 299 from June at
PUMA SELECT Bree Street, Cape Town, and Braamfontein, Johannesburg and selected
retailers.

offerings drop today, 6 April 2017. Crowned Sneaker of the Year at the Footwear
News Achievement Awards in November 2016, the most iconic item of the FENTY
collection arrives in stores with anticipation.
Featuring an all-over white leather upper with a classic black PUMA
Formstripe, the first Creeper in the pack has a timeless look.
Complementing the pack with a totally new look is the Creeper Cracked Leather.
The sneaker features an all-over black look with a tonal outsole and
Formstripe. Looking closer, the upper has a subtle cracked patent leather
effect for a more street look and feel.
Sporting the signature FENTY stacked outsole, the new pack adds to
iconic collection. Signature branding details include the PUMA by Rihanna
tongue patch.

PUMA’s sport heritage
echoes through as Rihanna brilliantly reimagined and transformed traditional
track suits, boxing robes, tennis dresses, polos and iconic footwear
silhouettes. Maximalist at best, she played up with exaggerated and

First to release are
head-turning footwear styles that caused a ruckus in the fashion world when
they first graced the Paris runway. The FENTY x PUMA Bow Slides in olive
branch and silver pink elevates lounge and poolside wear to a whole new level
with the softest leather material and statement oversized bow.
The theme continues
with the FENTY x PUMA Bow Sneaker, a femme fatal hybrid of PUMA’s iconic
Trinomic runner also in olive branch and silver pink.

It's been a minute since Rihanna bestowed to us her Shoe of
the Year 2016, sell-out Fenty creepers. Okay, it's been three and a half months
— but who's counting? The performer-turned-PUMA-designer hasn't left us totally
hanging, of course: She's had a runway
show and a restock
for PUMA in the time since her last sneaker introduction. Now, Rihanna
isn't letting us start the New Year without some fresh FENTY kicks.
Splashed with some extravagant velvet. The sneakers come
with tonal soles, waxed laces and metallic gold branding, and have been
handcrafted in Italy for some suitably luxurious credentials — this is Rihanna
after all. There’s three colourways, and they all come with a matching velvet
dust bag.
The FENTY x PUMA Velvet Creeper will drop on Wednesday, 25 January
2017, in three colourways (black, burgundy, and a grey hue dubbed cement) for
R3499 at PUMA SELECT Bree Street, Cape Town and Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
The last two original
colourways of the FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Creepers Anniversary Pack will drop
in-store on Thursday, 8 December 2016. Retailing for R3499, colours include the black-white and oatmeal in both women’s and men’s
sizing.
The sneakers will drop at PUMA SELECT Cape Town, Bree street and
Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Shelflife and X-Trend stores.
PUMA
and Rihanna announced that the Spring/Summer 2017 FENTY PUMA by RIHANNA
collection will be presented in Paris during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, 28
September. Fresh off the heels of her anticipated Autumn/Winter
2016 in-store launch earlier this month, this Spring/Summer 2017 season
will be presented to buyers, press, influencers and the world in a unique,
intimate and very different way befitting of the collection’s direction, style
and its namesake Creative Director. TIDAL X: RIHANNA will offer fans worldwide
front row access to view the collection via an exclusive livestream presented
by global music and entertainment platform, TIDAL.
Two
presentations are scheduled at 7:30 and 8:30 pm CEST, both of which will be
streamed live by Tidal – members and non-members alike will be able to view the
events on FENTY.TIDAL.COM
and via Tidal’s App. Viewers of the livestream will have access to
exclusive interviews and behind the scenes content presented throughout the evening.
Rihanna’s
first full collection launched on 6 September and new fashion introductions
will arrive in stores throughout the rest of the month, into October, November
and December. The Spring/Summer 2017 collection will arrive in stores in late
February and includes footwear, apparel and accessories for both men and women.
Finally, the
wait is over as Rihanna’s inaugural FENTY PUMA by Rihanna apparel, footwear and
accessories collection is unveiled. No one can forget Rihanna’s debut of this collection
last February in New York. Each look was daring, provocative and oozing with
attitude and now, it’s available for the world.
Rihanna drew
inspiration from contemporary Japanese street culture and tradition for her
debut collection with PUMA. Mixing cultural influences with gothic overtones
and exaggerated volumes and proportions, the fashion icon challenged the
traditional male and female silhouettes and blurred the lines between genders
that are often times too rigid for her fashion tastes.
Key styles include the ground sweeping Mock Neck Maxi Dress and popular Rising Sun Lacing
Sweatshirt and Sweatpant. The Tear Away Track Jacket and Pant, Bra and Lace-up
skirt will also be making its mark in stores serving the fashion hungry and
function needy.Every inch of her personality is
depicted in every element of the range, and definitely not to be worn by the
faint hearted. New introductions will follow in November, including the original
and new FENTY PUMA Creepers, her show-stomping Sneaker Heels and key accessories
like the Mesh and Bandana Cap and signature Lace Up Backpack.
“This
collection is not only a representation of who I am and how I dress, but also
pushes the boundaries of what I wanted to create with PUMA” says Rihanna, “I
wanted to take PUMA to a
new place with something unpredictable and unexpected. It's Japanese
street culture with a haunting twist. I played with texture and silhouettes and
all of the fabrics are luxurious. I reinterpreted the traditional in my way.”
The first
drop from the collection will be available in local stores from 6 October at PUMA
Select Bree Street, Cape Town and Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
Following up on the re-stock of the black,
white and pink colorways (which happened on the 24th of August),
PUMA and Rihanna are dropping the spring/summer FENTY slides in another color
option, grey.
The footwear is built on the Leadcat
silhouette, then featuring a faux fur strap with a satin foam backing to
enhance comfort. FENTY PUMA by Rihanna branding has in turn been applied on the
heel and the footbed to complete the slides.
