First Look: adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Multi-Colour

The adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Multi colour is one of the most anticipated colourways yet for this popular range. Looking closer at this adidas Ultra Boost, they feature multilevel shades used across the Primeknit upper.

The Ultra Boost 3.0 takes performance and comfort to a whole new level. A textured material across the upper features a lined imprint, which is both snug and contemporary. Thanks to the woven thread, a multi-coloured upper is now a possibility. Bold shades of orange, red, blue and green contrast against black detailing on the upper of the sneaker. In addition, we have a semi-translucent Three Stripes cage that appears to be smokey. Following, Black is used across the laces, heel counter, liner, and outsole. Finishing the look we have White used across the Boost midsole.

The adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Multi-Colour is available at selected retailers.

First Look: adidas UltraBOOST X

adidas Running revealed the latest version of its iconic UltraBOOST shoe, designed to give female runners their greatest running experience.

Tailored to the unique shape of the female foot, UltraBOOST X is designed to reflect the foot’s natural running silhouette for an enhanced performance for the female runner.

The ARAMIS system, a motion tracking technology that enables a detailed analysis into the movement of the body, was used to allow adidas innovation teams to see exact points where female runners need the most support and where their foot needs room for natural expansion. This process led to the unique design of the UltraBOOST X shoe.

The full length midsole is 100% BOOST, proven to provide the best energy return in the industry. It is also durable in all temperatures. The Continental Rubber 4-way stretch web outsole was designed for a female gait and provides good traction for urban running, in any condition. The iconic shape of UltraBOOST gives her the confidence that she can break her personal barriers, and her own goals.

The UltraBOOST X shoe launched alongside a range of running apparel, including a Primeknit Tee and double layer shorts. The collection is designed to coordinate with the unique shoe design, whilst working in harmony with the body and running environment.

The adidas UltraBOOST X has a recommended selling price of R 2799 and the UltraBOOST X apparel starts from R899 and is available at selected retailers.

Introducing the adidas x Wood Wood Ultra Boost Sneaker

Denmark-based brand Wood Wood has collaborated with adidas to release a new take on the popular adidas Ultra Boost.

Taking a very conceptual route for this project, the Copenhagen-based label ideated around the Big Bang model, more specifically gravitational waves that followed the Big Bang event, which were first detected as late as 2014. The waves were initially depicted and shared in the scientific community through a chart showing line segments intersected by shaded areas of orange and blue, and this chart served as the inspiration for the Wood Wood team. Most recently, scientists at LIGO in Washington state and Louisiana documented the existence of gravitational waves, confirming Einstein’s theory of relativity.

The Ultra Boost collaboration manifested with alternating blue and orange color highlights found on the heel tab of both versions, while the men’s version features a standard lace closure, and the women’s iteration is fitted with an elastic mid-panel creating a slip-on style.

The sneaker is now available at selected retailers.
