The PUMA x McQ Brace Mid Just Dropped In Stores

PUMA brings out their second drop from the popular collaboration with British cotemporary label McQ for A/W16. 

The collaborative collection showcases McQ’s use of experimental surfaces with PUMA’s classic silhouettes.

This second drop includes the PUMA McQ Brace Mid in a black and white iteration retailing for R2 499.

The second drop of PUMA x McQ dropped at PUMA Select Bree Street, Cape Town and Braamfontein, Johannesburg and selected retailers nationwide.

First Look: Premium Styles Of Sports and Fashion From PUMA x McQ

PUMA releases a new collaborative collection with British cotemporary label McQ for Autumn-Winter ‘16. The premium styles in the footwear range speak of a dual language of sport and fashion – a juxtaposition between McQ’s rebellious spirit and PUMA’s rich sporting history and product innovation. The collaborative collection showcases McQ’s use of experimental surfaces with PUMA’s classic silhouettes.

The collection incorporates styles such as the Move Lo Lace Up in metallic finish to the Tech Runner complete with McQ graphic (R2 499).  The new upper on the Tech Runner is a twist on the iconic tooling, held in contrast to the soft smooth surfaces in black and white and hand brushed graphic effect.

Another key style is the Cell Bubble Runner (R2 899), a continuation from the previous season, carried forward for AW’16 with a more futuristic silhouette.  Additionally, the Brace Lo (R2 499) and Brace Mid (R2 499) are attributed with a premium ‘cupsole’ silhouette that brings balance to the range. The contemporary silhouette of Brace Lo features a neoprene sock construction, with the upper utilising a rubberised texture, this style is available in bold primary colours.

The PUMA x McQ collection drops from August through to November at selected retailers nationwide.

Introducing the PUMA x McQ Bace Mid

PUMA released a new collaborative collection with British contemporary label McQ, inspired by extreme sports and protective structures - fusing them with technical executions from PUMA’s ‘90s running archive.

The result is a contrast of textures and finishes - cork surfaces with shine and metallic, alongside the softness of premium leather and nubuck. Colours are playful and primary with iridescent accents, for a retro-futuristic feel.

This first drop for the season is the PUMA x McQ Bace Mid (R2 599). Its neoprene sock involves your foot and the elastics helps to keep it in the right position, providing extra flexibility and support. The tongue can be removed and the style becomes lighter, while multiple textures and material finishing are mixed to create a premium hand feeling.

The PUMA X McQ collection is available from 6 February at PUMA SELECT Cape Town, Bree Street and Johannesburg, Braamfontein, as well as selected retailers nationwide including X–Trend, Madaiza, Shelflife, Queens, Lyme, Al Capone and Hollywood 2000.
