First Look: adidas Consortium x KITH ASPEN Pack

Throughout 2016, adidas has worked closely with Ronnie Fieg to put together the Aspen Pack.

The first model in the KITH Aspen pack is completely new – it is the first ever UltraBOOST Mid. Fieg's execution extends the original lower silhouette with a snug, sock-like enclosure at the ankle. The upper is cageless with a subtle taped panelling, a nod to the original adidas 3-Stripes branding. Rather than the conventional Primeknit, Fieg's new UltraBOOST Mid is constructed using a thicker space dyed yarn suitable for the winter months. It arrives in a festive multicolor pattern with laces to seamlessly match the upper.

The second model is a more conventional outdoor model. The Response Trail BOOST is fundamentally a trail shoe with a reputation for being tough and functional. Here it gets a lifestyle makeover. Still high on tech it comes equipped with a neoprene collar and a speed lacing system. The sole is a hybrid of exposed BOOST™ and hard-wearing, grippier rubber. Outdoor footwear is currently enjoying a big moment in the cities among sneaker enthusiasts looking for a shoe robust enough withstand the cold, while still providing them with the level of comfort they are accustomed to.

The adidas Consortium x KITH ASPEN Pack will drop on Saturday, 31 December 2016.

PUMA Collaborates With Ronnie Fieg on The Sakrua Inspired R698 Project

PUMA has unveiled the Sakura Project, its eagerly anticipated collaboration with one of the most established influencers in the world of sneakers, New Yorker Ronnie Fieg.

Inspired by centuries old Japanese art and culture, Fieg has used Japanese Ornamental Cherry Blossom trees, Sakura in the design for this SS’15 collaboration, which lands in limited distribution and features two sneakers - PUMA’s hero silhouette from the Trinomic family, the R698, and the RF698 Mid.

The R698 archive runner acknowledges PUMA’s performance heritage, but with updated execution of colour and materials the sneaker transforms into a modern classic and is a clear indication of what will be the focus silhouette for the coming season.

The distinctive deep reds of the Cherry Trees are infused across the rich perforated suede of the toe as well as the midsole of the R698 and fade into lighter shades of pink, expressing the range of Sakura colours in nature.

The RF698 Mid takes design DNA from its ‘little brother’ the RF698. This Mid Cut comes with a inner sock booty constructed in tech neoprene and is finished with a 3M covered strap and rich colours for the full effect of the Sakura.

The PUMA x Ronnie Fieg Sakura Project collection will be available globally in April 2015.
