Celebrate this Father's Day with Tullamore D.E.W and get to know him better!

It’s Father’s Day. You have just sat down with your dad. You’ve poured your first drink. You’ve said “sláinte”. That’s Gaelic for "good health". Maybe it’s your first conversation. Maybe it’s just your first in a while. Either way, it’s time to take the time to get to know each other better.

You may think it strange to be sipping a whiskey with your dad. We think it's your first step to really get to know the only man who's literally known you your whole life.

The Irish know a lot about two things; whiskey & family, which is why this Father’s Day you two can share the world’s second largest selling Irish whiskey in the world, while you learn more about each other as people. Tullamore DEW encourages you to sit down in the true Irish spirit and share...responsibly of course.

G-Star RAW x Afrojack Limited Edition Sunglasses Dropping Soon

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s collaboration, G-Star RAW has once again teamed up with Dutch DJ and producer, Afrojack. The result of their second eyewear partnership is the limited edition Fat Para Tacoma II. G-Star’s iconic Fat Tacoma has again served as the design’s starting point, and this time the best-selling style has been reimagined with transparent frames and dark green mirrored lenses. This year 1,155 pairs of the limited-edition style will be made available, and each pair will be engraved with a unique product number, along with Afrojack’s autograph.

The style resulting from the collaboration features hallmarks shared by all G-Star designs – such as the aviator-inspired straight-cut lenses and the industrial screw-shaped hinges – as well as special additions made by Afrojack himself. Afrojack gave the style his own take, by adding the side shields and the crystal color. The second eyewear collaboration between G-Star and Afrojack also forms the basis of another partnership with the DJ – a fourth collection – that will be announced later this year.

The limited edition G-Star x Afrojack sunglasses style #654S-909-E000 will be available at selected G-Star stores and online on g-star.com from next week Monday, 15 August 2016.

First Look: Ted Baker Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection

Wonders never cease in Ted Baker’s Autumn/Winter 2016 (AW 16) collection. A curation of curiosities and sights to behold, the season unearths a treasure trove of rare wonders and sartorial spectacle. A metamorphosis of artful prints and wondrous patterns gives a nod to watercolours and still life scenes on linings and fabrics.

For the Gentleman

Painterly florals and oversized leaves; jacquards on knits and chevrons on jersey explore scale and perspective, while paisley is exhibited across coats, polo collars, shirting and statement blazers.

For the ladies

Ted’s new womenswear prints cause a spectacle of romance and radiance. Gaze as layer upon layer of decadent blooms fall on the Twilight Floral print, while the Shadow Floral motif is beautiful and beguiling. The AW 16 colour palette includes rich burgundy, deep dark reds and earthy greens that evolve into burnt orange, flashes of pink and teal, and the lightest touch of pastels for the warmer months. Ted explores treasures from days gone by with 60s and 70s-inspired swing back coats and structured tunic dresses in touchably luxe fabrics. These pieces evolve into modern classics of salt and pepper culottes, boucle jackets and an eye-catching checked cape. The silhouettes of the season come in the form of a beautiful lace skirt, decadent ombre jacquard dress and a breath-taking ballerina skirt so beautiful time appears to stand still. Bringing the look into the here and now, Ted’s outerwear is a modern marvel with reworked leather bombers, biker jackets and parkas for gents. Luxurious quilted wool coats are given a showerproof finish, while the introduction of the Ombre Jacquard coat, with its subtle colour blocking effect, to add a little mystery.

Ted’s ‘Phormal’ range features a plethora of tonal printing, mini florals, velvet collars and exquisite compositions. Wool and silk-blend suits in staple grey, black and navy leave a timeless impression in modern and fashion fits, while a dash of charisma and eccentricity features in the Global range. The collection’s gold and black velvet jacket is a rare wonder…a mainstay piece in any permanent collection.

For AW 16 Ted takes us on a journey of discovery to unearth trinkets and treasures, curiosities and curations. The collection will hit Stuttafords in February 2016 (South Africa).

Presidential Store Launch in Nelson Mandela Square

A new Presidential Store is launching today (12 November 2015) in Nelson Mandela Square (Sandton City), Johannesburg. The launch includes a lunchtime performance by Vusi Mahlasela with celebrations, appearances by personalities, and competitions throughout the day.

Presidential Shirt was founded in 1994 when designer, DesrĂ© Buirski, gave former President Nelson Mandela a batik ‘Fish Shirt’ as a gift two days before his inauguration as President of South Africa. She went on to make over 150 shirts for Nelson Mandela, the style of which is universally known as the ‘Madiba Shirt’.

Presidential Shirt appeared for the first time this year on the runway at SA Menswear Week (SAMW) with a range that stretched from traditional hand painted silk, to Shweshwe to modern digital print. Many of these runway pieces will be available to buy for the first time at the new store.   “Nelson Mandela Square was the only choice for Presidential for our first local store launch. Given the heritage of the brand and the centre’s upmarket clientele the partnership is perfect” says Robert Sim, CEO Presidential Group. “This will make the brand’s flagship Presidential Shirt more widely available to the local South African market rather than the international traveler, the only Presidential Store currently being in the International Duty Free area of OR Tambo”

“I am extremely proud that Presidential Shirt is finally coming to Johannesburg, it’s our heartland and the store will be a tribute to our South African roots” says DesrĂ© Buirski, Founding Designer.

Go pop by the store today if you are in the area!
